51Talk Brings Thai Youth to Raise Their Voices for a Greener World at the United Nations COP30

51Talk, a global online English learning platform for children with over 14 years of experience and students in more than 50 countries worldwide, continues its mission to elevate Thai youth onto the global stage. The company brought a Thai student representative to participate in the 30th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), held from November 10–21, 2025, in Belém, Brazil.

COP30 gathered world leaders, heads of state, prime ministers, negotiators, activists, experts, and youth representatives from around the globe to discuss and define sustainable solutions to climate change. This milestone underscores 51Talk’s commitment to empowering Thai children to use the “power of language and hope” to speak up for a better future and meaningful global change.

Representing Thailand, 12-year-old Vasuthida Rinkluan, known as “Eva,” delivered a powerful speech on the global environmental stage under the theme:“Born from sadness, shaped by hope, and driven by love for the ocean.”

Her story began with sadness after witnessing a baby sea turtle trapped and killed in a fishing net. She transformed that pain into motivation to “protect the ocean.” Eva highlighted the growing problem of plastic waste in Thai seas and worldwide, warning that “what we throw away… is coming back to us,” as microplastics have now been detected even in human blood.

Her impactful speech deeply impressed international audiences and demonstrated the courage and vision of Thai youth committed to driving sustainable change for humanity.

“Participating in COP30 has helped me understand that small actions in our daily lives can create big change,” Eva said. “Being able to communicate confidently in English allows us to clearly express our ideas and share our solutions with the world.”

Eva’s mother added, “We are grateful to 51Talk for giving Eva the opportunity to learn and grow internationally. Speaking before a global audience is a priceless experience. It not only builds her confidence but also inspires other children to believe they can contribute to creating a sustainable world.”

Since 2019, 51Talk has played a key role in developing Thai children’s potential for the global stage by strengthening their English communication skills through one-on-one online lessons with certified foreign teachers and native speakers. Its curriculum is designed to build confidence, encourage self-expression, and cultivate global thinking.

To create real international opportunities, 51Talk launched the “Green Talk: Voices of Hope for a Greener Future on the UN Stage” program — a speech competition selecting Thai youth to present environmental visions at the United Nations Climate Change Conference. The initiative received support from the Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE).

The program not only raises environmental awareness but also provides a platform for young people to exchange ideas and propose creative solutions for a sustainable future.

Dr. Chaipol Chantawong, Director of the Environmental Youth Promotion Division at DCCE, stated, “GreenTalk provides a valuable platform for Thai youth to showcase their environmental vision on a global stage. We are pleased to support 51Talk in creating this important opportunity and believe that youth voices will play a crucial role in driving environmental policies into concrete action.”

Emily Li, General Manager of 51Talk Thailand, said, “This collaboration reflects 51Talk’s long-term mission to nurture a new generation of Thai youth — encouraging them to learn, grow, and lead on the global stage. We believe that English is the key that opens doors to new opportunities and empowers young people to become voices of hope for our world.”
